Bruce Springsteen

Singer-songwriter Rosanne Cash has been nominated for a 2010 Grammy Award for "Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals" for "Sea of Heartbreak," a duet with Bruce Springsteen that appears on her critically acclaimed album The List. This is Cash's ninth career nomination. She won a Grammy Award in 1985 for "Best Country Vocal Performance, Female" for "I Don't Know Why You Don't Want Me."

"Sea of Heartbreak," a cover of the country classic popularized by Don Gibson, is the only track eligible for a 2010 nomination as it was released on August 25th, several days before the August 31st deadline. The List was released by Manhattan Records on October 6th, 2009, and will be eligible for consideration next year.

Cash's first-ever covers album, The List is a collection of 12 classic songs she selected from a list of "100 Essential Country Songs" that her legendary father Johnny Cash gave her when she was a teenager. The album has earned widespread praise from media outlets across the country, including NPR Music, Vanity Fair, The New York Times, the Associated Press, USA Today, Time, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, People, the Los Angeles Times, Billboard, Elle, Paste, Relix, American Songwriter, and the San Francisco Chronicle.
